Server still down after 11 hours
Last night, somewhere around 9:30 to 9:45, our server went unreachable. I called and was handled by Glenn. He first rebooted the machine. After 15 min of waiting, the server was still unreachable. I called again and was told that something with GlobalCrossing went haywire and no-one was able to ping the servers on that backbone.
This morning my server is still down, and the customer service rep I called this time said the GC problem has been fixed.
On a 2nd note, a gentleman may be in today to look at the server. His name is Bill Wienburg; he's been in to look at it before.

EDIT
I see that it is back up...I'd like to know the reason it was offline

I've consoled the box, but right now it's actually logged in to Windows with a desktop and everything. Since the last time it was rebooted, there was no mouse or keybd attached, I cannot control the gui. I don't want to restart the box if it's up and running, and it looks like there's some activity on your download meter.
Do you want me to restart the server, or is everything running fine again?

I just watched a Battlefield 1942 server properties screen pop up, so I think I can safely assume that it's working again. I'll consider this ticket resolved.

EDIT
TICKET RE-OPENED BY USER
I really want to know why it was offline. There has to be some reason.

It was probably the problem with Global Crossing that caused your server to go offline.
